With Valentine's fast approaching, I presume you all have gifts, and extravagant displays of your love and affection planned? Hmm didn't think so! For guys, you know the pressure is on! You want to be the talk of the staff room for all the right reasons...take Valentine's as a day to just spoil your girl and show her why she's with you!
So I thought a little post on some things that have caught my eye that would make for lovely ideas for Feb 14th...
Ladies first of course...
For Her.
All girls love some me time so a safe option is some vouchers for pampering.
This could be anything from nails to a whole day of relaxation. For extra brownie points, look into where her favourite places are (us girls can be very picky when it comes to beauticians and the likes) or somewhere she has always wanted to try and book her in.
P.S. fyi Some places offer a glass or two of bubbly for your lady during her treatments..(***cough)!
I'd recommend Nails by LJ for Glasgow peeps x
Flowers.
Yes, I know... simple, and been done, but it's always so lovely to receive flowers on Valentine's day. It's a good Valentine's staple.
Again make sure you put a bit of thought into it. A personalised message, favourite flowers, or embarrass her at work...she'll act like she hates it, but secretly loves it!
"A boy gives a girl 12 roses. 11 real, 1 fake. 'I'll only stop loving you when the all the roses die"
You're girl will love this, and wonder when you became so fashion aware...
Asos £20
If you want to splurge, then you can't go wrong with this from Alexander McQueen
Available here (£1,495)
More pampering....see where I'm going with this guys?
I've chosen MAC for obvious reasons, however there are also many other good brands, just do your homework.
If she is a domestic Goddess, she'll love these ceramic tea & milk pots. I'm in love with this milk pot from Sorbet (£30) and the cute tea pot from Urban Outfitters (£10)
Pamela Love. Suitable for the day of love! (£160)
Urban Outfitters have lovely engraved bracelets. However, if you are wanting to spend a little more, go for these Posh Totty bangles, that are very delicate and timeless and can be personalised with your own message. (£75)
This is my favourite. I came across this website when trying to make a personalised calendar as part of my boyfriend's Christmas (another good idea) but basically, every day since mid summer 2005 there have been a group of photographers that get up ridiculously early & capture the sunrise along the Cornish coastline. They frame your chosen sunrise on your special date. Anything from the day your met, or your first kiss..
'The day we were going to last forever 28.2.08'
(£90)
So obviously after you shower her with gifts, and give her a thoughtful, tear provoking card, you can hand her a Helpful Hankie to wipe her tears, while reminding her that she's amazing. (£10)
If she's always saying 'I'll be two minutes, promise!' whilst running about with wet hair, then it's probably time you buy her a watch. Can't go wrong with this beauty!
Some more arm candy from Mulberry, another timeless classic that she'll love! (£200)
Girl's I have not forgotten about you. However, instead of explaining the obvious...I'll let Miss Huntington-Whitely do the talking....
For Him.
If your budget doesn't stretch to Agent Provocateur's briefs, then I'd highly recomment Ultimo's most recentl collection, modelled by an equally stunning girl, none other than Michael Buble's wifey Luisana Lopilato.
This set is called 'Forbidden'.
These bra's give you that extra oomph that no other brand can come close to.
Just one example from a truly luxurious collection from the famous Scottish brand.
Now everyone's has been suitably prepped & eh..warned, have a warm and fuzzy Valentine's when it comes.
Who knows some lucky sod might get one of these...
xo
